Have finally given up on the Dominicana.cc map and reverted to the maps from Ola. I found the following problems with the Dominicana.cc maps:
1) The road map was sometimes out of synch with the GPS location, particularly on out of town roads.
2) Don't know where they download their POI's from, however looking for the Intercontinental in Santo Domingo came up with 4+ locations. The POI's are not manually reviewed before being placed on the map. Searching for the nearest gas station in Sosua gave me a MLS number and price. I think they are just copying real estate databases and not validating the fields correctly.
3) Incorrect labeling / routing of one way streets in Santo Domingo and trying to make me turn in to a one way street is a clear no-no.

Sandy,
What a wonderful article, thank you! I can relate to your feelings of the quick bond you formed with the three crusaders! I drove from Phoenix, Arizona to Long Beach, CA on day 2 of Around The World For Free, to pick them up and bring them to my home in AZ. Although I'm not in good shape medically or physically to where I could come close to showing them such an amazing time as you did, but I was so honored to have been able to spend time with them. Parvati, Zsolt and Alex are so easy to be around, it's like you've known them forever, isn't it? LOL ... and I don't know if I've ever met a harder worker than "Z" ... he is an epic machine of determination and devotion. I'm so glad you got some great pics of the guys too!
I'm sure you will remember this past week with Parv and the guys, just as fondly as I will remember mine. Thank you so much for taking such good care of them ... you were an amazing host! I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you some day!
God Bless ...
